PTCL SAYS INTERNET SERVICES HAVE BEEN RESTORED IN PAKISTAN
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) said on Wednesday that internet service has been restored throughout the country, according to ARY News.
According to a PTCL representative, the issue in the international undersea cable system has been repaired, and internet access has been restored throughout Pakistan.
Previously, internet connections in Pakistan were disrupted due to rumours of a cable cut in the International Submarine Cable AAE-1 in Egypt.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) reported a dual cut in the terrestrial portion of South East Asia, the Middle East, and Western Europe 5 of an undersea communications cable system extending from Singapore to France.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) said that a cable cut in the International Submarine Cable AAE-1 has temporarily disrupted internet access, with certain users experiencing slight service deterioration.
